Programs and activities for primary school children
Primary school children are welcomed to Velebit House by Planinci.
The program comprises a guided tour of the House and, if prearranged/required, filling out of worksheets dealing with flora and fauna, meteorology, cultural heritage, geology or speleology. Special programs can be provided as well, with focus on a specific topic, but this needs to be arranged beforehand with our educators.
Program includes: Velebit House entry ticket, educator-guided tour and worksheets (if prearranged/required).
Program duration: up to 1 hour 30 minutes. Guided tour lasts at least an hour.
Group size: exhibit layout permits a group size of no more than 25 visitors so groups larger than that will have to be split up into several smaller ones.
Price: entry ticket - 4,00 € per person; educator’s services - 27,00 € per group of no more than 25 persons.
Note: worksheets are designed for children of different ages (grades 1 - 4 and 5 - 8) which is why the age of children that will be arriving needs to be indicated upon scheduling the visit.
However, Velebit House is not the only place where Planinci live - they can also be encountered at Northern Velebit. There you can take part in full-day programs, which include a visit to the Park (Zavižan or Alan localities) during the Park’s open season.

Program includes: Velebit House entry ticket, educator-guided tour, multimedia presentation (optional - if prearranged/required), materials for the workshop and worksheets.
Program duration: up to 2 hours 30 minutes. Guided tour lasts at least an hour.
Group size: up to 25 visitors.
Price: 8,00 € / person, Velebit House entry ticket, educator-guided tour, multimedia presentation, materials for the workshop and worksheets.
Note: worksheets are designed for children of different ages (grades 1 - 4 and 5 - 8) which is why the age of children that will be arriving needs to be indicated upon scheduling the visit. Workshop topics can be from the fields of meteorology, flora and fauna or geology.
